I visited VLCC karama about two weeks ago for a hair treatment. During my treatment, I was feeling extremely hot, so I politely asked one of the staff members if she could please turn up the AC. Her response was, “You can go and sit outside.” I found that response extremely disrespectful and honestly felt quite insulted. I didn’t reply to her at the time. For a moment, I thought about speaking to the manager and asking whether this is the kind of hospitality their staff is expected to offer. Then I wondered whether the staff had simply not been trained properly on how to communicate with and treat clients. I have experienced much better hospitality even at ordinary salons. At VLCC, the attitude made me feel as though I was asking them to provide their services for free, despite the fact that I had spent AED 1,200 on my hair treatment. So, based on my personal experience, if you are planning to visit VLCC, don’t go there expecting to be treated with respect or made to feel valued as a client. Just go for the service and be prepared to feel like an unwanted customer. For me, good service is not only about the treatment you provide—it is also about how you make your clients feel. I got a hair treatment and color done at VLCC just two weeks ago and paid AED 1,200 for it. I was also given VLCC’s own shampoo and hair mask and followed the recommended aftercare to maintain the treatment. Despite this, in just two weeks, my hair has become severely damaged and the color has already faded significantly. This is extremely disappointing and completely unacceptable, especially after paying AED 1,200 and using the products specifically recommended by VLCC. I expected professional-quality results and proper care for my hair, not for its condition to become worse within such a short period of time. I would like VLCC to take responsibility for this and provide an appropriate solution.
