2 months agoBooked in for a hair trim, there was some confusion about my appointment but it seems they accommodated quickly. Eddie was really lovely and respected me trying to keep my length, while getting rid of split ends. The salon was clean, bright and the staff were nice. They did a quick condition at the start, then a blow dry and curling at the end. The stylist did ask me first if I wanted the curls. The appointment was quick, just over 30 minutes which was nice. The downside was no mention of other costs during the appointment. I was happily prepared to pay 150 AED + vat as I had booked online and after comparing, for this area that was the similar cost at the other salons, even doing extensive research to make sure there would be no surprise costs. But they informed me when paying the cost of drying the hair and adding curls was actually an extra 120 AED + Vat. They did offer a small discount on the blow dry after a discussion back and forth, that was much appreciated. Thank you for that. I just want to know what I’m paying for, no surprises. It’s okay that it costs extra, please be upfront and let me know my options during the service. I left feeling disheartened, after what had been a great experience with Eddie. I’d like to come back because Eddie and the staff were great, but I’ll have to make sure to ask along the way about what costs what. My advice to the salon would be to walk through clients what to expect when they arrive for the appointment and be clear about what their appointment includes and what can be added on for how much. *For Canadians out there, that’s about $96 CAD for a hair trim, drying the hair and styling it*

His work truly sets him apart. I always leave feeling confident and refreshed. On top of his incredible talent, the vibe he creates is unmatched — welcoming, positive, and full of great energy.
