My friend and I went for Botox injections together, based on her recommendation. Before booking, we specified "forehead only, two people," and our friend told us the price was 840 AED for two. We booked based on that price. During the pre-treatment consultation, the doctor explained that it would be better to treat the area between the eyebrows as well as the forehead. We understood the explanation, and I think the doctor is excellent. I have no complaints about the procedure itself. However, the problem lies in the price explanation and payment. There was no explanation that the price would increase with the number of treatment areas, nor was there any confirmation before the procedure such as, "This will be the total price, is that okay?" Then, after the procedure, at the payment stage, we were suddenly charged 2,500 AED. Furthermore, there was no itemized breakdown of what type of Botox was used, how many units were used, or which areas were treated with how many units; only the amount of 2,500 AED was presented. If you're paying this much for cosmetic medical treatment, I think it's only normal to receive an explanation and detailed breakdown of the products used, the number of units, and the cost. Ultimately, I explained the situation to a friend, and thanks to her intervention, the price was reduced to the initial quoted 840 AED. However, I wasn't trying to haggle. If they had clearly explained from the beginning, "This procedure will cost this much," and I had agreed to that price, I would have paid without hesitation. As a result, I made my friend feel awkward, and an awkward atmosphere developed between me and the reception staff. Even though I was satisfied with the procedure itself, I left feeling very unhappy. What I want improved isn't the price itself. I want them to clearly state the final price before the procedure, obtain prior consent if the price changes, and clearly show the products used, the number of units, and the cost breakdown at the time of payment. I think the doctor is excellent, so if the reception and price explanation aspects were improved, I believe it would become a clinic I could visit with much more confidence.
