I approached this clinic for a root canal treatment. Initially, the experience seemed good, the doctor was empathetic and the procedure itself went smoothly. However, things took a very unpleasant turn soon after. Two days before the final crowning, I experienced tooth pain. Despite informing them, the crowning was completed without addressing the pain properly. The pain continued even after the crown was placed, and I had to return to the clinic. Instead of acknowledging the issue, they dismissed my concerns by saying it could be sinusitis, referral pain, or a problem with another tooth. But I was 100% sure it was the same tooth, the pain radiated from the tooth to my eye and head. Before the root canal, I had occasional pain. After the root canal, I am in pain every single second, the pain I literally “paid” for! They prescribed antibiotics, which I completed, but the pain persisted. On top of the original charges, they charged extra, calling it a “re-root canal” procedure, and I also had to pay for antibiotics that were not covered by insurance. Even after all this, there was no relief. When I decided to seek a second opinion, I requested my X-ray and scan. The clinic was reluctant to share it and insisted I come in again, which is not convenient for me as I live in Abu Dhabi. Only after repeatedly requesting, almost begging, they finally sent a photo of the X-ray through WhatsApp. The second doctor examined me said, that the infection might be still present in the canal and the crown was not sealed properly, allowing bacteria to re-enter and causing continuous pain. The crown area is now inflamed with a black lining around the tooth and it looks ugly with that black lining in the gum. After two weeks of ongoing pain, I am back to square one and need another re-root canal. I don’t blame the doctor personally, bad stuff can happen and it’s totally unpredictable how each body reacts. But what shocked and disappointed me the most was the clinic’s attitude. While they used to call frequently for appointments and feedback earlier, after I reported the issue, not a single follow-up call was made to check on my well-being. No concern, no responsibility, no customer care. Overall, a very unpleasant and unprofessional experience that has affected my health, time, plans, and finances.
