Delayed appointments

Once upon a time I had a VERY traumatic experience at another clinic in Dubai, and proceeded to avoid dentists for over two years. Thankfully, my husband (aforementioned steak chomping reviewer, see below) went and had exam and had a great experience! I followed suit, and had a wonderful experience too (which is strange to say about any dental work). We’ve finally found our place, and have no plans to go anywhere else. Dr. Ramiro and Tharusha, our dental hygienist, were kind, empathetic, and instantly made us comfortable! Not to mention, they ALSO LISTENED (a rare experience, we’ve noticed)! Thanks again! We’ll be back!

I went to the dentist here, female British lady. Although clearly qualified they’re just trying to make as much money out of you as possible! I went in about a pain in a root canal, it only needed 1 x-ray. I know this because it’s a long standing issue I usually go to my dentist in Dubai about. Without asking or telling me the price she went ahead and did 4-5 other x-rays and scan and my bill was insanely high when I came out! 1150 AED. When all I needed was a check-up and 1 x-ray which costs 80 aed. I was horrified when I came out and saw the cost. They are just using you as an ATM to get money out of you and should really show customers the prices BEFORE hand, it’s really dishonest behavior. She also tried to refer me to 3 other dentist specialists for things so she got the referral fee. Would not recommend! Update: The clinic contacted me to apologize for not making me aware of the prices before hand, they realized they made a mistake and offered to refund me. I appreciate this approach and the lady handling the manor was very pleasant. Hopefully it was a one off incident.

My usual reviews are about burgers and steaks and such… but to chomp on a steak you need your chompers in good shape! So whynot a shoutout to Snö Dental clinic in Al Raha. Listen, I haven’t been the best about regular professional cleaning and that’s partially due to some less than amazing previous experience (also some chronic sensitivity in some of my teeth). Forget all that! I had a great discussion with Ms Thanusha, the dental hygienist, about my experience and concerns and she was SUPER accommodating and reassuring. She was really careful around my sensitive areas and her empathy made the whole experience into a positive one. Seriously, if you haven’t had a cleaning in a while - give it a go! P.s.: my serious coffee habit is now almost completely unnoticeable…

Worst clinic ever. I was repeatedly overlooked in favor of the next patient. Priority is always given to the next patient. Very disrespectful receptionist and doctor. I won’t return and don’t recommend this clinic.
