Booked a highlight session which is quoted on their website as around 631-715 AED for full head highlights for 1 hour. I arrived and let them know I wanted ash blonde, showed reference pictures, and the hair stylist insisted that I needed “color” because my bleached hair has some leftover toner so it’s mixes of blonde and brown and she would like to start on a blank canvas where the color of my hair is one consistent color. I insisted that coloring is not necessary and to reach the ash blonde I wanted, all she needed to do is do highlights on top. That’s what happens at all my appointments when I come in for a highlight touch up to make it lighter and not brassy. Since she’s the “professional” she knew best so I trusted her professional opinion and went ahead and agreed to the quote: Color - 541 AED Balayage highlight - 806 AED Toner - 160 AED Trim - 145 AED total = 1652 AED = $449 USD I could already tell that I wasn’t going to like the outcome during the step 1 of coloring because she colored my hair to dark brown and then she bleached it with a very coarse mixture of bleach where powdered bleach was flying off the brush and onto my skirt and phone. During the washing session, she wasn’t careful and got soap all on my ear and water in my ear as well when washing off the soap. When she applied the toner, I knew it wasn’t what I asked for. I asked her, it’s going to be ash blonde correct? And she assured me it would be. Toner was washed out and I went to get my hair blow dried so I can see the outcome of the now 3 hours of work. I was not happy at all because my hair was not ash blonde but medium brown. Not at all close to what I asked for. I let them know I was not happy with it at all and they told me I asked for ash blonde and the toner is ash and after a couple washes, it will turn blonde. That is not how toners work at all. Toners help tone down the brassy yellow color of the hair after bleaching and adds the shade desired for the outcome. I said no to a haircut because I did not want to spend more time in that salon and give them more money. Even though they knew I was upset, no discount was offered and just told me to come back within 15 days to get it fixed. I said I wasn’t going to come back. The hair stylists at this salon do not know what they’re doing. They’re not careful with washing and are aggressive when blow drying hair as well. They’ll scam you of your money because after price matching what was quoted to me in person versus what was on their website, it was more than what’s on their website. Do not come here and trust your hair with them. You’ll lose out on money, time, and the result of your hair will not come out how you asked them to do.
